The company is a British-based creator and retailer of luxury mobile phones. It is a subsidiary of the popular manufacturer Nokia.
The devices are made from the most exquisite materials including gold, sapphire, rubies, and leather. Each device is hand made in its factories in England.
The most expensive model that has ever been made is the Signature Cobra retailing at $310,000.
To keep the value of the brand, Vertu mobiles are only available in its own branded stores, concessions in leading department stores such as Harrods and Selfridges in London, and other authorized retailers. Vertu’s flagship store opened in 2002 in Paris and then soon after in Singapore.
There are now over 600 retail outlets, including one at Wynn Las Vegas.
One of the services acquired with a Vertu mobile is a year's free concierge service called "Vertu Concierge", operated by Ten Lifestyle Management worldwide. It is accessed through a special button, the "Concierge key", on the side of every phone.
This 'hot key' puts the user through to a team of lifestyle managers who can book services such as gourmet dining, luxury travel or accommodation around the clock.
